D4vd and his manager have suddenly terminated their $20,000-a-month Hollywood Hills lease just days after police searched the property concerning the dismembered body of a missing teen found in his Tesla, the home’s owner has informed the Daily Mail.
The remains of Celeste Rivas, who disappeared in May 2024 at age 13, were found on September 8 in the front trunk of an impounded car registered to D4vd – real name David Anthony Burke.
The Tesla had been left abandoned for days near Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue, just blocks from a four-bedroom home rented by Burke’s manager, Josh Marshall, where the 20-year-old singer had been residing.
LAPD officers stormed the property on September 17, seizing bags of evidence, including a laptop.
Police confirmed the raid was tied to the disappearance and suspected murder of Rivas, though no charges have yet been filed.
Homeowner Mladen Trifunovic said Marshall signed the lease in February 2024 – the same month Rivas was first reported missing from her family’s home in Lake Elsinore. She briefly returned but was reported missing again in May.
Trifunovic told Daily Mail that following last week’s raid, Marshall asked to terminate the lease and has begun moving out both his and Burke’s belongings.

D4vd – real name David Anthony Burke – has not yet commented publicly on the discovery of a runaway teen’s dismembered remains in his impounded Tesla
‘They are moving out this week… the moving trucks will be here soon. They’ve decided to move out because of the ongoing circumstances.
‘They didn’t want to be there anymore,’ said Trifunovic, adding he had no idea who Burke was, or that he was living at the home until his real estate manager told him about the raid on Thursday.
‘This has all been such a big shock. I’m still trying to process everything, and I’m anxiously waiting for the story to conclude itself…It’s very disturbing.’
Trifunovic, an AI developer and crypto investor, hasn’t had any direct contact with the LAPD and isn’t sure what was found inside the home or what kinds of tests were carried out.

It’s unclear whether detectives plan to return to the $4.1 million home, which actress Halle Berry once owned, property records show.
Trifunovic has spoken directly with Marshall, whom he described as being ‘shocked’ by the ongoing investigation, before deferring further questioning to Marshall.
The Daily Mail has contacted Marshall for comment, but has not yet heard back.
In the meantime, Trifunovic said he hopes the mounting questions about Rivas’ disappearance and the circumstances of her death will soon be answered for her loved ones.
‘Like everyone else, I want to know who is responsible for this and how a little girl’s disappearance could slip through so many layers of responsibility. Are more people responsible for this, other than the immediate ones? Who else is to blame?
‘It’s terrible…you never imagine for one second that a property you own could be dragged into something like this.
‘But it’s a very safe neighborhood with lots of security…[the police] will have plenty of surveillance footage to work with.’

The body found in Burke’s Tesla was confirmed to belong to Celeste Rivas, who was 13 when she was reported missing in early May 2024 from her family home in Lake Elsinore

Sources claimed Rivas had been in a relationship with Burke. Rivas is seen in an image shared by concerned family members on Facebook after she ran away in 2024

An LAPD spokespersons said the search of Burke’s rental yielded ‘several items of evidence’ that will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days

Trifunovic said he hasn’t had any contact with LAPD and is unsure what was found during the search or what kinds of tests were conducted inside
On Monday, a spokesperson for the LAPD said the investigation into Rivas’s death remains ongoing and detectives are currently ‘following up on several leads.’
A vigil was held outside of Rivas’s family home on Sunday, with mourners gathering to light candles and pay tribute to the ‘bright and bubbly’ teen, whose remains were found just one day after what would’ve been her 15th birthday.
That discovery was made at a tow yard in Hollywood on September 8, where officers were called to investigate a putrid stench emanating from the front trunk of a black Tesla Model Y that had been impounded two days earlier.
Inside, they found the partial remains of Rivas wrapped in plastic.
LAPD has described her remains as severely decomposed, suggesting she had been dead for some time – likely while she was still 14.
Burke was away at the time the discovery was made, performing on the US leg of his Withered World Tour.
Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that Burke’s car was never reported stolen before it was impounded.
The nature of Burke’s relationship with Rivas is under scrutiny. Multiple images have circulated on social media, purporting to show the pair together, which investigators are currently working to verify.
Sources close to the girl alleged to the Daily Mail on Wednesday that Burke had been in an underage relationship with Rivas.
It’s unclear when the alleged illicit relations began, but one source claimed Burke first made contact with Rivas when she was just 12.
Rivas’s brother also claimed his family was aware of their alleged relationship. Matthew Rivas claimed his sister left home to go see a movie with Burke in May 2024, but never returned.
He said Burke would often pick her up in the same Tesla in which her body was later found.

D4vd posted a picture with a ‘Celeste’ on his social media, with fans and sleuths speculating the girl pictured may be Rivas

One of the Daily Mail’s sources claimed Rivas ran away from home because her family didn’t approve of her alleged relations with Burke.
The same source claims Rivas continued to keep in contact with her friends for more than a year after officially being reported missing, but all messages and calls from her abruptly stopped in late July or early August.
A date and cause of death for Rivas have not been confirmed.
Burke has not yet issued a public statement about Rivas’s death.
A representative for Burke claimed earlier this month that the TikTok star was cooperating with investigators.
He has since retained counsel, top Hollywood attorney Blair Berk, who hasn’t returned any requests for comment. Berk has previously represented the likes of Prince Andrew and Kanye West.
No charges have yet been filed in connection with Rivas’s death, and no persons of interest have been publicly named.
Last week, Burke quietly canceled the rest of his Withered World Tour, which included dates in the UK, Europe, and Australia.

The tour focused heavily on themes of death and remembrance. Fans who attended the show were greeted by a casket and a guest book, where they could pay their condolences to ITAMI, an alter ego that Burke channels in his music videos and live performances.
Burke is known for referencing dark imagery in his music, leaning heavily on blood-splattered visuals in his branding.
His official store had sold Custom ITAMI Bloody Shirts – white shirts streaked with red stains – which were promoted alongside his album.
Though still listed for sale as of Thursday night, the products were removed from his official website by Friday.
Also, on Friday, Interscope Records announced it was indefinitely shelving a planned release for Burke’s deluxe album.
Loved ones remembered Rivas as a ‘beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend’ on a GoFundMe page seeking funeral donations.
‘Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss,’ read a brief statement attached to the fundraiser.
