() Police in Wisconsin found six children inside a Milwaukee storage unit on Tuesday in a situation they have described as child neglect or abuse.

The children found in the storage locker just after 1:30 a.m. were ages 9, 7, 5, 3, 2 and 2 months.

The children were locked in the storage unit but uninjured, and police arrested a 26-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man.

An unidentified neighbor told a local media outlet the family had been seen walking in and around the storage unit all summer, leaving in the morning and returning at night.

Police said the investigation is active and ongoing, and charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office.
