Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is urging her fans to prioritize their health by undergoing cervical cancer screenings, following her own recent diagnosis.

In WASHINGTON, the reality TV star, famous for her role on MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” disclosed that she has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Despite the news, she remains optimistic about her prognosis.

On Friday, Polizzi took to TikTok to provide her followers with an update on her health after receiving the results of a recent cone biopsy.

“The results showed stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma,” she explained. “While this isn’t the news I wanted, it’s not the worst-case scenario because it was detected so early. Thank goodness for that!”

At 38, Polizzi emphasized the critical importance of regular pap smears for women, highlighting their role in early detection and prevention.

“I’m 38 years old and I’ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,” she said. “Instead of just like putting it off because I didn’t want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there. And it’s only stage 1 and it’s curable.”

Last month, she revealed doctors found “cancerous cells” on her cervix and was getting more tests done.

In Friday’s 7-minute long video, Polizzi said she would next be getting a PET scan to determine if the cancer had spread anywhere else in her body.

“After that, I’m gonna probably get the hysterectomy,” she said, explaining that her doctor said the alternative was chemotherapy and radiation. “Obviously, I think the smart choice here is the hysterectomy. I’ll still keep my ovaries, which is a good sign. But hysterectomy, gotta get the cervix and uterus out… It all depends on the PET scan.”

The mother of three previously urged her followers to get their screenings and not to skip out on tests.
