In the ongoing drama surrounding Brooklyn Beckham’s family, Snoop Dogg has stepped forward to show support for David and Victoria Beckham. The famed rapper, who doubled as the DJ at Brooklyn’s wedding, has spoken out amidst the turmoil caused by Brooklyn’s recent public criticisms of his parents.
Last week, Brooklyn, now 26, took to social media to voice a lengthy and explosive statement regarding the rift with his famous family. In this six-page revelation, he declared that he had no desire to mend the broken ties with them.
While DJ Fat Tony has expressed understanding for Brooklyn’s public airing of grievances, Snoop Dogg, a steadfast friend of Sir David Beckham, has chosen to defend the soccer legend. Snoop’s long-standing friendship with David dates back over two decades, a bond that has witnessed both of their families grow and evolve over the years.
In a recent interview, Snoop Dogg remarked, “David is my boy; we’ve been friends for more than 20 years. We’ve seen each other’s children grow up, and one thing I can say about David is that he is a true family man.”
‘We have seen each other’s kids grow up, and one thing about David is that he is a family man.
‘It doesn’t matter what level of success he has had in his life, there ain’t nothing more important to him than his family.’
Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding DJ Snoop Dogg has defended David and Victoria after their estranged son launched a scathing attack on them
Brooklyn, 26, took to social media last week where he released a bombshell six-page statement on his escalating feud with his family and said he did not wish to reconcile with them
While DJ Fat Tony defended the hot sauce owner’s social media rant, Snoop Dogg – who is a longtime friend of Sir David’s – has defended the footballer
Speaking to The Mirror, the hitmaker added he is hopeful Brooklyn will reunite with his devastated parents in the future.
He explained:Â ‘No family is perfect right, but when you are a family in the public eye it’s hard – it’s even more of a pressure.
‘I know the love that family has for each other – and in time, they are gonna work things out.’Â
Snoop Dogg and Sir David became friends in the 90s and both men have supported each other’s families over the decades since.
The pair have also collaborated together on an Adidas Originals campaign and in 2007, Sir David appeared on his E! reality show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.
In Brooklyn’s scathing statement, he accused his parents Victoria, 51, and David, 50, of trying to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz, 30, and said his mother danced ‘inappropriately’ on him during his 2022 nuptials to the billionaire heiress.
However, their wedding DJ Fat Tony appeared on ITV’s This Morning last Friday to reveal exactly what happened during the reception.Â
The 60-year-old branded the incident ‘really awkward’ and confirmed that Nicola fled the reception in tears. Â

In his scathing post, Brooklyn had accused Victoria of ‘dancing inappropriately’ on him during his 2022 nuptials to Nicola
Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, claimed that Marc Anthony was to blame, revealing the musician had called Victoria to the dance floor with her son and instructed him, ‘place your hands on your mother’s hips’.Â
He explained: ‘There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!
‘The word “inappropriate”, why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.’
Tony continued: ‘What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage.Â
‘Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage – and then he says “Victoria, come to the stage”.’Â
He revealed that Brooklyn looked ‘devastated’ at the fact his first dance was with Victoria and not his wife, adding that Nicola left the room ‘crying her eyes out’.Â
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the DJ said at one point Brooklyn’s hands were on his mother’s waist while her arms were placed around his neck.
‘The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment,’ he told us.
‘It was in the heat of the moment.Â
‘Brooklyn left right after the dance. Nicola left the room and afterwards he went after her.
Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding DJ Fat Tony finally recounted the exact details of the dance during an appearance on This Morning
‘Nicola’s family left, they went after their daughter.
‘Marc Anthony is a latin singer. It was a love song.’
When asked if Brooklyn had his hands on Victoria’s hips, he said: ‘Well, yeah. It was slow dancing, it wasn’t like some samba number. Victoria had her arms around his neck.’
He went on: ‘Brooklyn is a friend of mine. The whole situation is just awful, the way it’s played out so publicly.
‘Families are families, I don’t know what started it. At one point someone might say something publicly.’
He continued: ‘Brooklyn is upset about a lot of things, sometimes the smallest of things can become the biggest of things, because it highlights it.
‘I’m not speaking bad about either party in it, I’m just putting the narrative straight about the dance.’
