Police say they were called to the Reiner home around 3:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon where they found two people dead inside. It’s unclear who called emergency responders.
Multiple news outlets reported the victims — described as a 78-year-old man and 68-year-old woman by the Los Angeles Fire Department — were stabbed to death.
While the Los Angeles Police Department described the incident Sunday night as a “death investigation,” Robbery Homicide Division detectives were called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Reiner family confirmed the deaths Sunday evening.
