CHICAGO (WGN) There are more than 50,000 therapy dogs in the U.S., but few show up for work where Hazel does.

She’s known as Hazel the Tooth Fairy, and she’s a magical lap dog for those dreading the dentist.

Dr. Mahi Mehr may be the dentist at Dentalq in Chicago’s South Loop, but make no mistake: In the office, Hazel reigns as top dog. 

Hazel is such a hit with patients that the receptionist is training her yorkie puppy as the next apprentice to give Hazel a well-deserved break.
