Actress Sophia Bush has lashed out at Elon Musk and President Trump in a series of social media posts.

In a post to her Instagram account, the 42-year-old wrote: ‘If it walks like Nazi, talks like a Nazi, and throws HHs like a Nazi…it’s a Nazi.’

Bush had pointed out a gesture from the Tesla CEO and ‘First Buddy’ last week after Trump’s inauguration, comparing it to a Heil Hitler salute.

She continued in another post: ‘Don’t be like Elon. Resist fascism’, before following up with several posts detailing the rise of Nazism in Germany pre World War II.

Another post referenced ongoing ICE raids and how they had taken place on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The post said: ‘Protect your neighbors. Protect those within your communities, and even more importantly, protect those outside of them.

‘Use your energy wisely. Love those who are living in fear. Resist through connection.’

The One Tree Hill star’s reaction comes after Selena Gomez filmed herself breaking down in tears while speaking about the deportation of Mexican people.

Selena admitted she felt powerless, telling her 422 million followers: ‘I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything.’

The video did not sit well with social media users though, who were quick to slam her for not using her reported net worth of $1.3 billion to take action herself.

After quickly taking down her post, she shared a message that read: ‘Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.’

Bush recently settled her divorce from ex Grant Hughes following their August 2023 split amid her new romance with Ashlyn Harris.

She and Hughes wed in 2022 and they were married for 13 months before splitting.

Later that year she debuted her romance with former soccer player Harris, 39, who shares two children with ex Ali Krieger.

Bush was previously married to One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray from 2005-2006.

In June 2024, Bush recalled a conversation with ‘one of her best friends’ that helped her realize she is bisexual following her divorce.

While appearing on her Work in Progress podcast, the One Tree Hill alum, 41, opened up about a chat with one of her closest pals, who suggested she may not ‘like men.’

‘One of of my best friends looked at me and was like, “I gotta say, that was just painful to watch, and I’m so glad you’re getting out of it,”‘ she recalled of ending her year-long marriage in 2023.

Bush then noted that her friend bluntly dropped that they didn’t ‘actually think’ she was into men.

Prior to the chat, Bush said she did not feel she could identify as queer because she was primarily involved with men.

After speaking with her friend, she said she had a ‘revolutionary f**king idea’ about her sexuality.

‘The queer community has been my home and is the home of my whole family since I was old enough to understand,’ she said. ‘Uncle Tony had a boyfriend and not a girlfriend.

Meanwhile, as part of Trump’s mass deportation plan, officers have begun storming properties across the country in sanctuary cities like New York.

Sanctuary cities including the Big Apple have become a haven for migrants who flock to them in the knowledge that officials there limit cooperation with federal immigration agents.

The president has since said he ‘might have to consider’ pulling funding to sanctuary cities, which include the likes of Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Trump, who ran on a mass deportation platform, has made immigration his first order of business since assuming office.

ICE agents have arrested more than 3,500 people since the inauguration last Monday, Axios reports.

On Friday, a senior official in the Trump administration revealed exclusive deportation and detainment data with DailyMail.com, including chilling details of dangerous criminals that were previously walking the streets freely.

Among the worst of the worst to be picked up by ICE on Friday included Cesar Augusto Polanco, 59, a Dominican Republican national who was living free in Boston despite a criminal conviction for second-degree murder.

Almost 5,000 Homeland Security and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers have been deployed by the Trump administration to carry out raids.

The raids have sparked fear in migrant communities, especially since Trump signed an executive order which will now permit raids in the likes of schools and churches.

Many migrants are said to be in hiding, turning usually crowded factories, warehouses and grocery stores into ghost towns.

Frightened undocumented migrants began hunkering down after Trump took office for the second time last week, with dozens failing to turn up to work.

Trump ordered each of ICE’s field offices to make 75 arrests per day and managers would be held accountable for missing those targets.

ICE insiders told the Washington Post they are concerned that the quotas make it more likely that agents will ‘engage in more indiscriminate enforcement tactics or face accusations of civil rights violations.’

However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reportedly told the outlet, ‘your story is false,’ but did not elaborate.
