Three weeks prior to her tragic disappearance, a fitness trainer from South Carolina, Elena Katherine Moore, left baffling comments on social media. Her mysterious online activity has since drawn attention following the discovery of her body.
A week after her disappearance on June 11, Moore was found dead. According to a statement from the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, a comprehensive forensic autopsy did not reveal any signs of external trauma, including bruising, lacerations, or injuries typically associated with foul play such as gunshot wounds or strangulation.
The exact cause of Moore’s death remains undetermined, pending further testing and a thorough examination of her medical history.

In the weeks leading up to this tragedy, a closer look at one of her Instagram accounts shows that Moore had made several intriguing comments. The timing and content of these posts have left many speculating about their potential significance.
One of the comments was made under a post captioned “the war is over,” where a separate Instagram user reflected on reaching peace after a difficult relationship.

The fitness trainer also commented on a post that talked about the anger and resentment left behind after a painful relationship, with Moore commenting: “the memories are in the trash- and i stopped loving him a LONG time ago- i just was looking for a way out when i realized i was in a relationship with the devil.”
A spokeswoman for the Lexington Police Department confirmed to News Media that Moore was also reported missing on June 5, but no action was taken because she was located. Friends of Moore told News Media she checked herself into a psychiatric facility during that timeframe.
Moore was found dead near Old Cherokee Road and Northlake Drive in Lexington County on June 17. Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said that her body was located after a tip led them to a new search area.
