Several individuals were stabbed at a Walmart location in Michigan on Saturday evening. Authorities have confirmed that the person suspected of carrying out the knife attack has been taken into custody.

The horrific incident unfolded around 5 p.m. inside the big-box chain store in Traverse City, according to the Michigan State Police.

The suspect was arrested shortly thereafter.

“The suspect is in custody, details are limited at this time,” cops said in an X post just after 6 p.m.

It remains unclear how many were injured or if there are any casualties.

A Walmart spokesperson said the company is currently “working with police.”

The investigation is ongoing, with people asked to avoid the area.
