Las Vegas is set to host a new theme park that promises visitors a nostalgic journey through time.
The upcoming attraction, RetroEscapes, will feature five distinct areas, each celebrating the unique culture and charm of the 1950s through the 1990s.
RetroEscapes plans to deliver a comprehensive experience with a variety of attractions, including rides, interactive activities, dining options, shopping opportunities, and live shows, all designed to showcase the highlights of each decade. Additionally, the park will include a “Tomorrow Zone” where visitors can explore futuristic concepts.
Visitors will begin their adventure by stepping through a time portal, transporting them to the vibrant eras of the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. This exciting development was detailed by Daniel Leo Jr., a social media influencer known as the “CEO of Las Vegas,” in a recent announcement.
Leo and his father, Daniel Leo Sr., are the founders behind the project. PGAV Destinations, the team behind Disney World’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, SeaWorld Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida, will build the park.
The park will be anchored by the “Fountain of Youth,” which will feature a nightly laser and fireworks show celebrating the icons of American pop culture through the decades.
The park is being designed as a hybrid indoor-outdoor, multi-level park, complete with cooling measures to ensure a comfortable experience year-round.
The theme park has been in the works for seven years, according to Daniel Leo Jr.
When asked about the park’s timeline, Daniel Leo Jr. provided an update to potential visitors.
“We’re currently in active talks with land partners, the city/county and strategic partners,” he wrote. “It’s still too early to give an exact timeline, but updates will be shared as things progress.”
An opening date for the park has not been announced.
