NEW YORK — There’s one apartment building in New York City that’s become infamous for all the fictional murders behind its walls.

And now it’s time to get ready for another one. “Only Murders in the Building” is back for season 5, reuniting everyone’s favorite crime solving trio to find the latest killer in the Arconia.

If that’s not enough, this time around, there will be more famous faces along the way.

They’re our favorite sarcastic and lovable, unlikely, yet perfectly compatible crime solving trio.

“Only Murders in the Building” reunites Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.

They are picking up where last season ended, with the murder of their beloved doorman, Lester.

“Let me just add while you’re talking about the Upper West Side, one thing the show does this year is really get into the job of what doorman do,” Steve Martin said. “I have a doorman, and I said, hey. Our whole season is about doorman. I said that to my doorman, and he said, can I be in it?”

The actors shared their first impressions of each other.

“They’re in their own right, legends, and I’m, you know, and very them know. You know? But it was so it was it was just so instant. The moment I met them, they made me feel very comfortable and accepted,” Gomez said.

“I met Selena in the makeup room for the very first time on the first day we were shooting. And, of course, driving to work, you’re wondering, what’s she like? Is she is she going to be a pop princess? Is she going to be late? Is she going to be mean? Within two minutes, she went, she just turned it. And I saw this face, and I thought, oh my God. We are in perfect shape,” Martin Short said.

“And I asked all those same questions, but about Marty. And they were all negative. He’s a pop princess,” Steve Martin said.

“And I met Steve in ’85 to pick up a script for ‘Three Amigos’ at his home. And I saw him, and I thought, oh my God. Is there any blood in that face? Because it was pale. You know?” Martin Short said.

From off screen shenanigans to laugh out loud moments on screen.

Meryl Streep and Da’Vine Joy Randolph return alongside several other famous guest stars like Renee Zellweger, Keegan-Michael Key, Tea Leoni, and Bobby Cannavale, just to name a few.

The question now is are any of them the killer?

Many laws were broken while trying to solve the murder.

“There’s a lot of, lot of, we they should have another team who investigates us,” Steve Martin said.

“Yeah, truly,” Gomez said.

As far as what to look forward to this season, you’ll have to watch to find out.

“We don’t know what we can tell. You see, that’s the trick of this,” Martin Short said.

“Yeah. It is. It’s a great it is a great mystery, and it happens to coincide with events in the news in New York City, too. There’s mayoral things. There are gambling issues, and all this is going on in in New York at this time,” Steve Martin said.
