HOUSTON (KIAH) — More than a hundred University of Houston students and Cougar men’s basketball team fans gathered outside the team’s athletic complex Wednesday afternoon to show their support as players and coaches boarded buses bound for San Antonio.

That’s where the road to the Final Four ends and the national semifinal games and the national championship will be played.

The crowd led chants of “Whose house? Coogs house!” and cheered players’ names as they carried their bags to the luxury motor coaches that got a police escort to I-10 from Houston Police Department.

The Cougars semifinal matchup is with college basketball blue blood Duke at the Alamodome with an estimated tip off time of 7:49 p.m. Saturday.

The winner of that game advances to Monday’s national championship game to take on the winner of the other national semifinal pitting Auburn against Florida.
