ADDISON, Ill. — A suspect has been apprehended following an alleged incident where shots were fired at police officers from within a residence in Addison.

Authorities reported that shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a call from a man on the 200 block of East La Porte Avenue. The man had contacted dispatchers, requesting police assistance in locating his dogs. He warned that if the officers did not assist, he would find others to take on the police’s responsibilities.

After making this statement, the suspect disconnected the call. Despite attempts to reconnect, dispatchers were unable to reach him again.
