Reginald Graves, 51, is accused of second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the killing of 51-year-old Todd Mahodge Taylor.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday they arrested a man in connection to a December homicide.

Reginald Graves, 51, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the killing of 51-year-old Todd Mahodge Taylor.

On Dec. 18, 2024, JSO officers responded to the 1300 block of Kings Road in reference to a report of Taylor being unresponsive on a sidewalk “following an altercation.” Taylor was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition, and later died “as a result of his injuries” on Jan. 7.

“JSO Homicide Team 7 detectives responded to the scene, along with members of the Crime Scene Unit, to conduct their respective investigations,” A JSO spokesperson said in a news release. “Detectives worked diligently to review evidence that was collected at the scene. A suspect was ultimately identified, and an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect.”

Graves has not been given bond, and made his first court appearance Tuesday morning, records show.
