Former NFLer Taylor Lewan's first pitch at Cardinals game was an utter disaster: 'Worst day'

Taylor Lewan is giving 50 Cent a run for his money.

The former Titans offensive tackle threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Cardinals’ game Thursday against the Royals and it did not go well — instantly triggering memories of Fiddy’s infamous first pitch at a Mets game more than 10 years ago.

The 6-foot-7 lefty began his windup that looked very prim and proper.

However, when Lewan released the ball, fans had to duck out of the way as the pitch was just a bit outside — that’s if multiple feet wide of even the outermost part of the left-handed batter’s box is considered “just a bit outside.”

Lewan instantly threw his hat to the ground in disgust with himself, sulked off the mound and forced himself to do push-ups as a punishment for the brutal pitch.

He then ran to social media to warn everybody of the avalanche of trolling that was forthcoming.

“Currently at the Cardinals game, and there’s something I need to get ahead of,” he wrote on X.

“A video will be surfacing of me throwing a pitch from the mound. Let’s just say… the haters are going to have an absolute field day.”

He wasn’t wrong, as the trolls wasted no time.

Lewan played nine seasons in the NFL, all for the Titans.

The three-time Pro Bowler had his ups and downs — but none of those downs quite compared to his first pitch.

“This is the worst day of my athletic career and that includes the Chandler Jones game,” Lewan posted to X.

And that’s saying something. Chandler Jones once sacked Lewan’s quarterback Ryan Tannehill an absurd five times in one game.

Perhaps it’s just that he gets some points for the solid windup, but Lewan’s pitch (somehow) still didn’t look quite as bad as 50 Cent’s — but you’d expect a tad better from a former professional athlete.

“I need redemption,” Lewan said.
