Taylor Swift rushes to Kansas City for Travis Kelce's Chiefs game

Taylor Swift is on her way to Kansas City to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in the NFL playoffs as they kick off their quest for a historic Super Bowl three-peat.

DailyMail.com photographed Swift and her entourage leaving her Manhattan apartment in two luxurious vehicles early on Saturday morning.

They were believed to be traveling to the private airport she normally uses to fly to Kansas City to visit her boyfriend.

The music sensation was spotted out for dinner at Nobu with her parents and brother on Friday night.

This will be Swift’s first time attending a Chiefs game in almost a month. She was last seen at a game on December 21, where Kelce and his team emerged victorious against the Houston Texans, who they are coincidentally facing again this Saturday.

Following two away games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos to wrap up the regular season, the Chiefs enjoyed a bye week during the wild card round of the playoffs.

Swift only missed one Chiefs home game throughout the entire regular season – and that was due to a clash with the final run of her sold-out Eras Tour show.

In that game, she saw her man and his teammates run out 27-19 winners, and they will be big favorites over CJ Stroud and the Texans again on Saturday.

The singer has yet to take her place in the stands of any Chiefs road games this season, skipping visits to Atlanta, LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Buffalo and Carolina among others.

If the Chiefs win on Saturday, Swift will likely be back at Arrowhead next weekend for the AFC Championship Game where Kelce and his team would face the winner of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday.

The winner of that game books their place in New Orleans for the Super Bowl on February 9.

It emerged this week that for Chiefs fans lucky enough to be sat near the Kelce family suite that Swift will watch the game from, they have to follow a strict set of rules that security help to enforce.

One Chiefs fan who was sat just meters away from Swift when she watched the Chiefs in December against the Texans says she was told not to take pictures or ask for an autograph and had an extra ticket check as she reached her section of the stadium.

Explaining the experience on TiKTok, the fan called Carley said: ‘She is just like a fan when she is there, which is so cool.

‘She was talking about the ref, how he was at a previous game, and talking to us outside the suite.

‘It was kind of cool to have those human interactions with her like another Chiefs fan.

‘The windows on the suite were open for the entire game, they were closed during halftime and they closed pretty much immediately when the game was done.

‘Taylor did move around in the suite a lot, when the Chiefs were on defense she would go in the back of the suite and do whatever. When the Chiefs were on offense, she would come back to the front row of chairs.

‘There was security and they checked our tickets before we went in section 119. We were asked to not ask for pictures because that would start a swarm.

‘Don’t pass anything through the window, don’t ask for autographs or stick your hand in the suite.

‘Security was there, it wasn’t super tight or aggressive or anything like that. There were no bodyguards in the stands, I’m sure there was someone in the suite. It was not anything crazy.’

Gracie Hunt, daughter of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, claimed this week that Swift’s presence boosted the team’s fanbase by more than a third.

Speaking to People, the 25-year-old shared that Swift boosted the club’s supporters by ‘between 30 and 40 percent’ since attending her first game in September 2023 at the Genesis of her relationship with Kelce.

Hunt also called Swift’s entrance into Chiefs Kingdom ‘surreal’ and ‘special’ while praising the 14-time Grammy winner.

‘She is absolutely incredible, as the whole world knows, and it’s been such a special time to have her be a part of Chiefs Kingdom,’ Hunt gushed. ‘She is just as beautiful and wonderful as you’d ever imagine her to be, so smart and intelligent.’

Swift’s impact on the Chiefs’ viewership and attendance comes as no surprise, as she influenced her cult-like fanbase to tune into the reigning NFL champions.

Ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, 16 per cent of US shoppers confirmed she influenced their decision to spend on the game.

Furthermore, the New York Times reported in February that regular season viewership was up 7 per cent from the previous season.

Aside from her impact on the fans, Hunt complemented the 35-year-old singer-songwriter for her outfit choices during Chiefs games.

Swift’s iconic ensembles included a vintage Chiefs leather Jacket and a custom jersey puffer made by fellow NFL WAG Kristin Juszczyk.

Hunt previously raved over Swift’s romance with Kelce in December 2023.

‘First of all, I think we’re all so excited to see two such phenomenal people happy,’ she said on ‘OutKick the Morning.’

‘I mean, it’s so easy for us to cheer for and for the entire world to cheer for because they’re wonderful for each other, and it’s just been so fun to watch this love story unfold. So, that’s just been so special to see how happy they are.’
