Adorned in hand-draped satin, pop singer Selena Gomez said ‘I do’ to record producer Benny Blanco in a splendid ceremony held in Santa Barbara, witnessed by 170 guests on Saturday.
Among those guests, who brushed off an unseasonable drizzle in California, was one Taylor Swift – Gomez’s ‘bestie’ of many years.
The Friday before the wedding, Swift joined other notable figures, including Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin, for a rehearsal dinner at a mansion within the exclusive community of Hope Ranch.
The main nutials on Saturday night were held at nearby Sea Crest Nursery, a 17-acre palm-filled paradise spilling onto the Santa Barbara cliffside.
And it was there, next to the beating Pacific, that Swift, 35, delivered a tear-jerking speech in honor of her beloved ‘sister’ Gomez, 33.

As one insider told the Daily Mail, Swift’s speech was ‘so beautiful that some guests were crying.’ Unsurprisingly, Gomez was among those who found herself reaching for a tissue.
During the sweet speech, it is understood that Swift ‘talked about how she and Selena have both been through so much together both professionally and personally,’ and ‘said that whenever one of them had their hearts broken from failed relationship over the years, they were always there for each other.’
Swift, who has famously catalogued her ‘long list of ex-lovers’ in her pop music, told the gathered guests that it was only ‘when Selena finally came to the realization that she was just fine with who she was and concentrated on being just her that she fell in love with Benny.’
She added that Blanco, 37, and Gomez were a ‘perfect pair’ – surely a well deserved title after Gomez’s years of romantic turmoil with on-and-off ex Justin Bieber – and that ‘in all the years she has known Selena, she has never seen her so happy.’
A second source told the Daily Mail that Swift talked about ‘always having Selena’s back and how they are sisters – and that while Selena may see Taylor as the big sister, Taylor sees Selena as teaching her so much.’
Swift, of course, is gearing up for her own wedding, having recently announced her engagement to football player Travis Kelce.
As such, Swift ‘joked in the speech that Selena beat her to altar but at least they both have found the loves of their lives.’
Lavishing praise on Blanco as ‘the most perfect person’ for Gomez, Swift added: ‘It isn’t luck that they found each other, it’s love.’
Swift wasn’t the only star on hand to give a speech.
Ed Sheeran was also part of the speaker line-up, as were both Gomez and Blanco’s parents, the Daily Mail has learned.
At the rehearsal dinner, actors Martin and Short gave a joint speech.

The Saturday ceremony turned out to be a particularly emotional moment for Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, who was seen ‘wiping her eyes’ as her daughter said her vows.
Teefey, 49, had Gomez age 16 and raised her as a single mother. Gomez’s maternal grandfather, David Cornett, walked her down the aisle.
And whether it was all love or luck, the celebrations were certainly lavish. Gomez’s net worth exceeds $1 billion after all.
She and Blanco, born Benjamin Joseph Levin, enlisted the help of wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss.
Weiss has previously worked with high-profile clients including the Kardashian clan, Ellen DeGeneres and even Gomez’s ex, Bieber, and his wife Hailey, for their 2018 wedding.
Gomez’s all-star guest list – including Paris Hilton, Adele, David Henrie, Paul Rudd, and Ashley Park – dined on fresh coastal seafood over the weekend.
The sheer number of famous attendees meant the bill for security reportedly topped $300,000.
