Teacher allegedly showed video of Charlie Kirk murder to children

Outrage has erupted among parents in Canada after allegations surfaced that a teacher showed pupils as young as 10 a graphic video depicting the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Last Friday, the principal of Corvette Junior Public School in Toronto, Jennifer Koptie, issued a letter to parents. She informed them that ‘students reportedly viewed parts of a violent video.’

‘The video is believed to have been shown once by a staff member supervising the class who is not the homeroom teacher,’ Koptie noted.

The situation came to light when ‘several students from the teacher’s class went home and reported to their parents, feeling traumatized after being repeatedly exposed to the on-camera killing,’ a source informed the Toronto Sun.

The unidentified teacher was placed on leave as of Friday after parents voiced their concerns over their 10 and 11-year-olds allegedly viewing Kirk’s assassination.

In addition to playing the horrid video – which showed the late conservative activist being shot in the neck at Utah Valley University – the educator also gave a speech to the children ‘regarding anti-fascism, anti-trans, and how Charlie Kirk deserved for this to occur,’ the source added.

The reported incident has left many upset, with some calling for the educator to be fired.

‘Someone needs to be fired over this,’ a commenter said.

‘No. They should of fired her immediately. I think this whacko wanted to instill fear into these ids. Speak up & you’re next,’ wrote another.

Someone else chimed in: ‘Good lord! The only good news is that the teacher was sent home. If any of this is true, they should indeed lose their teaching license!’

‘Who is teaching our children? We need a full review of what’s happening in Canadian classrooms,’ a user posted.

Koptie said the teacher ‘has been relieved of all teaching responsibilities pending the outcome of the investigation’ by the Toronto District School Board.

The principal also told parents and guardians that the school board is offering assistance to any children who were impacted by the ‘extremely troubling and completely unacceptable’ alleged situation.

‘Social Work support has been made available to the school today, and I will be visiting the class along with a member of our Social Work team to check in with students to provide support,’ Koptie continued.

When approached by Daily Mail for comment, a spokesperson with Corvette Junior Public School shared the letter and said that is all ‘the information we can share at this time’.

Daily Mail contacted Toronto District School Board for comment.

Kirk, 31, was killed on Wednesday while he spoke at one of his Turning Point USA college events.

Terrifying video of the incident quickly circulated online showing the father-of-two being hit with a bullet, slumping, then falling over as blood came out of his neck.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital by his security detail where he succumbed to his injuries.

His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested on Friday following a dayslong manhunt by the FBI.

Authorities said the gunman climbed the roof of a building some 200 feet from the venue and fired a single, fatal shot before fleeing the campus.

Police say that Robinson later implied or confessed to the crime and ultimately turned himself in in southwestern Utah, more than three hours drive from the scene.

His family then urged him to surrender after learning of his alleged involvement.

Local prosecutors are expected to file formal charges against Robinson on Tuesday, including aggravated murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The accused killer could face execution by a firing squad if he is found guilty and prosecutors secure the death penalty against him.

President Donald Trump said he wants to see the killer get the death penalty for the assassination of Kirk, whom he described as the ‘finest person’.

Robinson, who was not enrolled at the school at the time of the shooting, has previously registered as a nonpartisan voter in Utah, public records showed.

Authorities said Friday that Robinson’s family reported he had become ‘more political in recent years’ and spoke about disliking Kirk’s ideas.

Robinson is marked as an ‘inactive’ voter meaning he not did cast a vote in the 2024 presidential elections – the first one he would have been old enough to vote in.

Meanwhile, his parents, Matthew Carl and Amber Denise Robinson are registered Republicans, per state records.
