Chicago police did not immediately say if anyone was in custody or provide a description of the suspect vehicle.

Video later Tuesday showed a large police presence in the area.

Witnesses said the shooting happened soon after classes let out.

That’s when they say they saw students fighting in the park across from campus before they heard multiple rounds of gunfire.

Witnesses described how students began running for their lives as bullets went flying.

Chicago Public Schools did not immediately respond to a request for comment to confirm if the victim is a student at CVS High School.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
