The accused, James Patterson, aged 17, along with a 15-year-old, both residents of Lisle, are said to have assaulted a female acquaintance at the Walgreens located at 713 East Ogden Avenue at approximately 3 p.m.

Police indicated that the victim, whose age has not been disclosed, was using the restroom when the suspects entered.

Authorities claim that Patterson forcibly held the victim against a stall wall and removed her pants during the attack.

Police said the victim told Patterson to stop, and she was able to pull her pants back up and leave the stall. But Patterson allegedly grabbed the victim, pinned her against a wall and pulled her pants down again.

Patterson allegedly hit the victim, and when she fell down, he repeatedly punched her before sexually assaulting her, police said. The 15-year-old suspect allegedly recorded the attack and sexually assaulted the victim as well.

The victim told store employees about the attack, and the suspects fled on foot, but Naperville police found them nearby. When officers took Patterson into custody, he allegedly had the victim’s cellphone.

Patterson is charged with four counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Robbery.

The 15-year-old’s name has not been released because he is charged as a juvenile. He is facing three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, four counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material, and one count of Criminal Sexual Assault.

Patterson’s case was transferred to adult court, where a judge ordered him detained pending his trial.

Patterson is due back in court on Feb. 2, and the 15-year-old suspect is due back in court on Jan. 27.
