Chicago police are actively investigating a disturbing incident of armed sexual assault that took place on the city’s North Side over the weekend.
According to information obtained by ABC7, both the victim and her companion are just 15 years old.

The police report states that the incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Friday. The victim was walking with her friend in the 2900-block of West Wilson Avenue in Ravenswood Manor when they became aware that they were being followed. The situation escalated when two men started chasing them and subsequently caught up with the girls.
Reportedly, one of the assailants held a knife to one of the girls, while the second suspect brandished a gun and sexually assaulted the victim in a nearby alley.
Authorities are currently on the lookout for the two suspects involved in this heinous crime.

One suspect was described as 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall, weighing 170 to 200 pounds and wearing a Nike jacket, black pants and dark sneakers.

The other was described as 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing 135 to 150 pounds, wearing a Nike jacket, dark pants and sneakers.

Residents told ABC7 the neighborhood has been shaken by news of the attack, especially with so many families with teenagers in the area.
Detectives were still knocking on doors Sunday as they continue to collect surveillance video from Friday night.
Alderperson Rosana Rodriguez-Sanchez told ABC7 patrols in the neighborhood have been increased as police continue their search.
