Police say 17-year-old Joseph Mixson and 19-year-old Andrew Robinson were arrested in the case of double murder at the Island Pointe apartment complex in June.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two teenagers have been arrested and charged with the June, 2024, shooting deaths of two Jacksonville 16-year-olds, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The 16-year-olds were found dead from gunshot wounds at the Island Pointe apartments on the Northside on June 9, 2024, police said.

Investigators said the teen victims, Travaris Odol and Stanley Merriweather, did not live in the apartment complex and they did not find any bullet holes in the building or in any cars.

Wednesday, 17-year-old Joseph Mixson and 19-year-old Andrew Robinson were arrested for the double murders, JSO said.

They are currently being held at the Duval County Jail on charges of second-degree murder.
