Tennis Champions Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter Celebrate Nuptials Amid Wimbledon Tournament

In the wake of their recent Wimbledon disappointments, tennis players Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter found solace in a joyous occasion, exchanging vows in England.

The couple, whose relationship spans six years, opted for an intimate ceremony held in a Leicestershire village, close to the bride’s childhood home. This special event took place on the Sunday marking the final day of Wimbledon, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Their nuptials unfolded in the presence of close family members inside a church, followed by a celebratory gathering at a nearby pub, encapsulating a charming and personal atmosphere.

Captured in photographs leaving the ceremony, the newlyweds were enveloped in a cascade of rose petals. Boulter, age 29, was a vision in her off-the-shoulder white gown, while de Minaur, 27, looked dapper in a classic black suit, complemented by a white shirt and bow tie.

In a twist on tradition, the couple made their grand arrival together for the ceremony in a sleek black Porsche Carrera, adding a modern flair to their special day.

Their nuptials took place on the same day Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev in the men’s Wimbledon final.

The couple announced their engagement in December 2024 with a joint post on social media.

The happy occasion comes just days after disappointing performances at the All England Club. De Minaur lost in the fourth round to Italian Flavio Cobolli on July 6. Boulter was eliminated in the first round of her home slam.

In his post-match interview, de Minaur appeared dejected and discussed the mental toll difficult losses have taken on him.

“To fall short constantly, you start doubting yourself. You start doubting whether you’re going to be able to break through and kind of take it to the next step,” de Minaur told reporters.

De Minaur, the world No. 5, has never advanced past the quarterfinals of a major in his 36 appearances.

However, de Minaur said, he would use some exciting events in his personal life to get past the heartbreak.

“I’ve got some pretty big things happening soon, some stuff that I’m very excited for,” de Minaur said. I think my best way forward is to channel my focus into that, into something positive, and that should help put this in the past.”
