Texas Man Arrested for Alleged Threat Against Erika Kirk at TPUSA Event: Safety Concerns Rise

A man from Texas has been arrested for allegedly threatening the life of Erika Kirk while working as her ‘valet’ at an upcoming event organized by Turning Point USA.

Jacob Wenske, 26, was apprehended on Wednesday by the San Antonio Police Department. He faces accusations of making death threats against Kirk last month, as reported by KENS5.

The allegations stem from an April 12 Facebook post that promoted Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled for June 5 to 7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter hotel. Details from an affidavit obtained by the news outlet indicate Wenske’s involvement.

The post highlighted that Kirk, who assumed the role of CEO for Turning Point USA following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, last September, would be attending the summit.

In the comments section of the post, Wenske allegedly wrote, “I know exactly where to bomb,” threatening Kirk’s safety.

He then cryptically added: ‘I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort.’

An investigation revealed that Wenske had worked for a parking management company that provided valet services to hotels and special events.

He was charged with two felony counts of making a terroristic threat involving public fear or serious bodily injury or public disruption.

Authorities said Wenske’s comments were ‘commonly interpreted as threats of mass–casualty violence.’

His remarks could allegedly be interpreted as surveillance of the event and its entry points.

Wenske was also accused of having sent an email on January 26 in which he wrote, ‘Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!’

According to the affidavit, he added: ‘America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event.’

In addition to Kirk, other speakers at Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit include US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Investigators also allegedly found several threatening public posts or comments related to Turning Point USA.

Wenske was also accused of having directly told Turning Point USA that he was threatening death towards Kirk.

His Facebook profile was confirmed through subscriber records, a registered email address, a linked phone number and IP address information.

Wenske was arrested by the San Antonio Police Department on Wednesday and booked into jail at 4.24am on Thursday, according to Bexar County records viewed by the Daily Mail.

As of Friday night, he remained at the Bexar Adult Detention Center with a total bond set at $120,000. 

Records showed that Wenske’s next court appearance will be on August 25 for a pre–indictment.

Turning Point USA said it was grateful to the San Antonio police and the FBI for arresting Wenske.

‘We refuse to let threats silence us,’ the conservative organization posted on X. ‘We look forward to a successful and inspiring gathering June 5–7 in San Antonio for 2,500+ ladies attending the Women’s Leadership Summit!’

The message was reposted by Erika Kirk.

Last month, she canceled a planned appearance at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Georgia over safety concerns.

She was set to appear with Vice President JD Vance, who said Kirk had received ‘some threats.’

‘After all our family has been through, I take my security team’s recommendations extremely seriously,’ Kirk wrote then on X.

Her husband Charlie was assassinated while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
