AUSTIN (KXAN) Sean Clements peeled back his band-aid on his foot to show where he says he was shot while one of his dogs dangled from an alleged robber’s car door, yelping as the driver sped off.
Clements, a 54-year-old disabled man, told affiliate KXAN he was walking his Jack Russell terrier named Loki and French bulldog Freya on Sunday night when he was approached by a man he didn’t know. According to Clements, this was at the ThinkEast apartment complex in Northeast Austin.
Clements said the man asked Freya’s breed, and in a matter of minutes, got out of his car, attacked him, and yanked the double leash from him.
“He kept saying, give me the f—— dog, or I’ll shoot you!” Clements said. “I said, ‘Go ahead, I’m not giving you my dog.'”

According to Clements, he tried to fight off the alleged robber. Clements said as Loki dangled from the alleged robbers vehicle, the double leash eventually snapped, and Loki fell from the car. Freya was already inside of the vehicle.
While all of this was happening, someone in his complex called the police, Clements told KXAN.
The Austin Police Department said they responded to what they classified as a shoot/stab hotshot call at the complex.
“The victim was treated at the scene by Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS),” APD said. “At this time, there is no active threat to the public.”
Clements said police asked him to come to the station downtown to file an official report.
“The detective told me I was the second person who had a French bulldog stolen yesterday (Sunday),” Clements said. “I don’t care about anything else, I won’t press charges. I just want my dog back.”
APD told KXAN the two French Bull Dog robberies on Sunday aren’t connected.
Clements said this was the second time within a year he was robbed in his complex. ThinkEast Apartments declined to comment.
Loki now has bruises and scrapes after the situation.
Clements and his daughter are left pleading for the safe return of Freya, who just turned one year old.
