() A Texas woman wanted on state charges for the murder of her missing six-year-old son has been arrested in India, the FBI announced Thursday.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrest of Cindy Rodriguez Singh in a post on X stating “this is the 4th “10 Most Wanted” fugitive arrested in the last 7 months.”

According to the FBI, the Everman Police Department was asked to do a welfare check in March 2023 on Rodriguez Singh’s child, who had not been seen since October 2022. Rodriquez Singh allegedly lied to investigators about the whereabouts of the child before boarding a flight to India with her husband and other children days later.

In October 2023, a district court in Fort Worth, Texas charged Rodriquez Singh with capital murder before issuing an arrest warrant in November. Rodriguez Singh is also facing charges for “Unlawful Flight to Avoid Persecution.” The child has yet to be found.

Patel credits the arrest to coordination between countries as well as the “tremendous field work, law enforcement partners, intelligence operatives, and an administration who is letting good cops do their jobs.”
