There are several new movies available on Video on Demand this week. One of them features Rami Malek in the spy thriller The Amateur. Additionally, viewers can watch a chilling movie about a killer clown scaring children titled Clown In A Cornfield. Lastly, a coming-of-age drama called Bonjour Tristesse is also accessible this week.

Chloe Sevigny stars in this modernized adaptation of French writer Françoise Sagan’s classic novel Bonjour Tristesse, taking on the role of Anne. The film, directed by Durga Chew-Bose in her feature debut, co-stars Lily McInerny as a young woman named Cecile on vacation with her widowed father (Claes Bang). When she meets Anne, an old friend of her parents’, the vacation devolves into psychological warfare between the women.

Clown in a Cornfield isn’t just the best-named movie of the year, it’s also one of the creepiest films out this week on digital. Directed by Eli Craig, the movie is based on the best-selling 2020 horror novel of the same name by Adam Cesare. Katie Douglas plays Quinn Maybrook, a new kid in her rural Missouri farm town who learns that her school mascot, a clown named Frendo, brutally murdered some teens back in the ’90s. 35 years later, Frendo is back with unfinished business, and he’s terrorizing Quinn and her friends.

The Amateur is based on the 1981 novel of the same name by spy novelist Robert Littell, starring Rami Malek as a CIA cryptographer named Charles Heller. Heller decides to go rogue on a field mission when the agency fails to seek justice for a London terrorist attack that killed his wife (played by Rachel Brosnahan). Traveling all over Europe, he tracks down the culprits to serve up a dish of revenge, with some help from clandestine colleagues.
