White House posts shocking Valentine's Day message

Love was not in the air for illegal immigrants in the United States.

The White House posted a Valentine’s Day card on social media accounts Friday.

It featured President Donald Trump and border czar Tom Homan’s faces with a pink background.

‘Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally and we’ll deport you,’ the message read.

The Valentine, representing the strict immigration policy of the Trump administration, differed greatly from the sweet candy heart decorations that former first lady Jill Biden had put up on the North Lawn over the past four years.

Dr. Biden’s 2021 display, for example, showed oversized pink hearts with the words ‘love,’ ‘strength,’ ‘family,’ ‘kindness,’ ‘unity’ and ‘compassion.’

The former first lady started crafting Valentine’s Day displays amid the despair of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Friday’s White House post prompted swift reaction on Instagram, with some commenters expressing disbelief that it was from an official U.S. government account.

‘I had to refresh twice to make sure this was real,’ one user wrote.

‘This is so inappropriate to post on the White House account what the actually f*** is happening,’ another said.

Trump fans posted laugh emojis.

‘That’s cold… ICE cold,’ wrote one fan.

ICE is the acronym for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Others reacted in horror.

‘This is so tacky. THIS IS NOT A JOKE! Whoever is in charge of this page needs to be ashamed of themselves, but when you have a clown in office I guess you get the circus that comes with it,’ one detractor said.

‘My blood is boiling seeing this from the official White House account. Why create such displacement, houselessness, and hate. I’m so disappointed with this rhetoric/propaganda,’ another said.

Several commenters took aim at two immigrants in the president’s orbit – suggesting that first lady Melania Trump, who was born in Slovenia but is a U.S. citizen, and Elon Musk, the South African-born billionaire, pushing that they should also be deported.

‘Tell your WIFE and ELON the same,’ an Instagram user said.

Twice now Trump has told reporters, one from Afghanistan and one from India, that he didn’t understand their accents during press conferences with world leaders.

Former President Joe Biden eventually chimed in with his own Valentine’s Day post.

‘Happy Valentine’s Day, Jilly!’ the ex-president wrote, sharing a black and white photograph of former first lady Jill Biden.

In the image, Dr. Biden is wearing a jacket that says ‘Love’ on it.

First lady Melania Trump famously wore a jacket with a message on the back when she visited McAllen, Texas to see the products of her husband’s child separation policy.

‘I really don’t care. Do U?’ the jacket read.
