Sunjay Japur’s heartbroken loved ones reunited for a prayer met on Sunday just over a week after he fatally swallowed a bee at age 53.

A close friend of Prince William, who served as the chairman of the multinational car parts company Sona Comstar, passed away due to a heart attack while playing polo in Windsor, England, on June 12.

Following his untimely demise, his relatives made their way to the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi, India, to honor the late billionaire at a memorial service.

His spouse Priya Sachdev, who coordinated the gathering, was accompanied by Kapur’s former wife and renowned Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, along with their two children, Samaira and Kiaan.

Kapoor was also joined by her sister, Kareena, and brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan.

Sachdev’s son Azarias, whom she shared with Kapur, also attended the prayer meet.

All attendees were dressed in white ensembles for the service, which took place just days after Kapur’s heartbreaking final photo was shared online.

Just moments before he had stepped out onto the field, Kapur had posed for a photo with Jaisal Singh — the captain and patron of polo team Sujan Indian Tigers, against whom Kapur’s team played in the subsidiary final of the coveted Queen’s Cup.

“Today we play the final of the Cartier Trophy in the memory of our dear friend Sunjay Kapur, who tragically passed away on the field a few days ago,” the team wrote on Instagram on June 15.

“Our Captain and Patron, Jaisal Singh, will mount up with the team to observe a minute’s silence in honor of his dear old friend Sunjay, and then sit out as a mark of respect 🙏🏼.”

The club revealed that it was Kapur’s final photo before he reportedly stung by a bee on the mouth, triggering an anaphylactic shock that caused his heart to stop.

“RIP Sunjay; you will be missed – your tireless enthusiasm and patronage will be remembered forever by the entire polo community.”

At the time of his death, Kapur had been playing at the prestigious Guards Polo Club in Windsor, which is often frequented by members of the royal family.

Kapur, who had an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion, often took part in exclusive matches across the UK and was invited to play with members of the royal fold, including the Prince of Wales, 43.

It was revealed last week that the keen polo player — who also boasted US citizenship — shouted, “I’ve swallowed something!” moments before his untimely death.
