Thieves Strike Cars Parked Near Lincoln Park Zoo’s ZooLights, Police Report

Chicago police have issued a warning about a series of car break-ins occurring near the zoo.

In just the past week alone, there have been eight reported incidents of cars being broken into.

Thieves are on the lookout for valuables left inside vehicles. The Chicago Police Department advises visitors to either hide their belongings or take them with you.

Authorities have described two suspects spotted in the area, both wearing black or gray jumpsuits and ski masks.

Chicago police say the majority of them were Monday night:

-2100 block of N Stockton Dr. on November 18 at 9 p.m.
-2400 block of W Fullerton Pkwy on November 20-24 at about 7 a.m.
-2300 block of N Cannon Dr. on November 24 at 7 p.m.
-2400 block of N Cannon Dr. on November 24 at 7:05 p.m.
-2400 block of N Cannon Dr. on November 24 at 7:45 p.m.
-2400 block of N Cannon Dr. on November 24 at 7:50 p.m.
-2300 block of N Cannon Dr. on November 24 at 9:00 p.m.
-2100 block of N Stockton Dr. on November 24 at 10:00 p.m.
