One man had to be taken to a Gainesville hospital for trauma injuries. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating arson as a possible cause.

INTERLACHEN, Fla. — Three people were rushed to the hospital with injuries after Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies said a fire was possibly intentionally set inside an Interlachen home Sunday night.

Deputies said Putnam County firefighters responded to a residential fire on Kin Street in Interlachen around 9 p.m. Sunday.

One man was taken to a Gainesville hospital for trauma injuries. Two women were taken to area hospitals for injuries. 

The Putnam County fire marshal is responding to the scene. Deputies said there were reports the fire was arson, and it’s being investigated as a possible cause.

Deputies said no further information will be released Sunday.
