In a roundup of her year’s worth of drama and events, Tik Toker and podcaster Alix Earle gave her listeners and followers an insight into her recent break up with MLB player Tyler Wade.

On the ‘Tea of 2023’ episode of her podcast, ‘Hot Mess with Alix Earle’, she spoke up about her relationship with the former Oakland A’s star – who recently signed with the San Diego Padres in the offseason.

Earle previously said that she broke up with Wade because he wouldn’t post her on his social media accounts. But in the episode, she says that her breakup with Wade – who she calls ‘Baseball Boy’ on her show – was due to toxicity in their relationship.

She also praised her current boyfriend, Miami Dolphins receiver Braxton Berrios (who she calls ‘NFL Man’) for letting her be more independent.

Reflecting on her dating Wade, Earle said, ‘It was such a toxic relationship which is why I kind of got to the point of “oh he didn’t post me, we broke up.” That was just one of the things we would fight about.

‘We only dated for three months, so it didn’t really get too serious. Everything that I did he s**t on. He did not support me at all, especially when it came to social media stuff.

‘So the fact that NFL Man now supports me and lets me edit a video on my phone without screaming at me is pretty nice to see.

‘So when I started dating Baseball Boy, I was fresh out of my junior year of college. This MLB player hits me up, I’m like “oh my god this is so cool”. We started hanging out and talking.

‘And mind you, this was in my acne era… so the fact that someone liked me, let alone I thought that he was really cool in my eyes… all the red flags just went right out the window.

She continued: ‘He was really, really nice at first. We started dating and at the same time, I started to gain a following on social media – and for some reason that sent him spiraling. Like that was just not okay for him.

‘He would literally be so toxic to the point where I would come over to hang out with him and he would say “Oh we’re not gonna talk tonight, no talking, I talked too much today”… We would literally sit there in silence… I would pick up my phone to take a picture, he would scream at me.

‘I am someone who does not stand for that so that’s really why we only dated for three months.

‘He would ‘like’ every single bikini photo, lingerie photo of an Instagram model… he did not care, he told me that it made him feel better.

Earle added that in the course of their relationship, Wade ‘never would come and hang out with my friends’ in her house in college.

She added, ‘It was so toxic and not good and that’s okay. We love a little toxic relationship, it just wasn’t lasting for me.

When it came to the situation about Wade not posting her on his social media, Earle said that the issue wasn’t really about the lack of posts (especially because the relationship was so new.

Rather, ‘He would lie straight to my face about his reasoning and that’s what bothered me… He would say “people my age [28] don’t post their significant others on their Instagram, you’re young [21], so you don’t get it.”‘

That was just one of the many reasons why she decided to end things with Wade – a subject she chose to avoid for a while.

‘I go online, I’m talking shit, and I felt so guilty and so bad about that. But now as I’ve taken a year off from talking about this subject, I realize there’s like so many bad and horrible things that happened in that relationship that 1703793740 I felt comfortable talking about it.’
