A 3-year-old boy who had been severely beaten was declared dead after being left at a Brooklyn hospital on Sunday morning. Authorities are now searching for the boy’s parents.

The heartbreaking situation occurred at 11:24 a.m. when police received reports of an unresponsive individual outside University Hospital at Downstate.

He was pronounced dead at the medical facility, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Sources said the unidentified child was badly bruised and had been “severely beaten.”

Cops are now canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video footage to try to identify the boy’s parents, sources told The Post.

Police said there have been no arrests.

This incident occurred shortly after another tragic death involving a 4-year-old boy who died, possibly due to fentanyl poisoning, at a shelter in Flatbush, as reported by the police.

Last month, a Brooklyn mom was charged in the death of a 6-year-old girl who drowned in the bathtub of her family’s apartment — with the mother allegedly telling cops she was “baptizing” the girl.
