() A DoorDash executive and his family were among eight people killed during a boating accident in Lake Tahoe, California, on Saturday.
Per ABC7, Josh Pickles, 37, and his parents, Terry Pickles, 73, and Paula Bozinovich, 73, died as their boat capsized.
Pickles was survived by his wife and 7-month-old child, according to the report.
Peter Bayes, 72; Timothy O’Leary, 71; Theresa Giullari, 66; James Guck, 69; and Stephen Lindsay, 63, all died in the accident.
Two people survived, but their condition is currently unknown.
The 10 individuals had reportedly gathered in the iconic California region to celebrate a birthday.
“We are heartbroken by the tragic accident that took the life of our beloved colleague, Josh Pickles. Josh loved his team and was an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him,” DoorDash Chief Financial Officer Ravi Inukonda said in a statement provided to ABC7.
“During his nearly seven years at DoorDash, he brought a contagious spirit that lifted those around him. The loss of Josh is immeasurable. We miss him deeply and will carry his memory with us always. Our thoughts and love are with his wife, his daughter, his family, and all who were close to him. We are working to support them through this incredibly difficult time.”
