According to authorities, an armed individual entered the establishment and committed a theft before making his escape.
As the suspect left the scene, he encountered two men, aged 63 and 25, resulting in a confrontation. The suspect opened fire on the two individuals multiple times and then sped away southbound on Springfield Avenue in a white SUV, police stated.

A business nearby shared surveillance video of the incident exclusively with ABC7. A man in a Blackhawks hoodie and mask can be seen walking up to the jewelry store right around 5:45 p.m., just before the robbery and shooting.
Within about 30 seconds, the suspect runs outside with some merchandise from the store as two men chase after him. The altercation continued in the middle of the street near oncoming traffic, and then right near the corner of Springfield. The offender could be seen pulling out his gun and shooting both victims.
CPD was on scene for hours, taking in evidence, and there are a lot of surveillance cameras in this area.
Police say no one else was hurt by those gunshots that were fired off in the middle of the street.
The jewelry store is now closed as it appears those two victims of this shooting were employees of their shop.
No arrests have been made as Chicago police continue to investigate.
