NEW YORK (AP) — Former Nickelodeon child star Kianna Underwood tragically lost her life on Friday in a hit-and-run incident in New York City. She was 33 years old.

The New York Police Department reports that Underwood was crossing a street in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn when she was struck by a black Ford Explorer SUV during the morning hours.

After the initial collision, Underwood was hit again by another vehicle described as a black and gray sedan, according to an NYPD statement. She was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities say both drivers fled and have yet to be identified, with the investigation still underway.

Underwood gained recognition for her role on Nickelodeon’s beloved children’s sketch comedy show, “All That,” appearing in seven episodes in 2005. She was also known for voicing the character Fuschia Glover on the Nick Jr. series “Little Bill” from 1999 to 2004.

She also spent a year on the first national tour of “Hairspray” as Little Inez.

“All That” was Underwood’s last credited role. The program helped launch multiple careers over its decade-long run, ranging from Nick Cannon, Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.
