JSO: Man dies after being found shot on Brentwood Avenue

Authorities in Jacksonville are conducting a thorough investigation following the discovery of a man in his late thirties who was found with several gunshot wounds on Saturday evening. The incident is being closely examined by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The tragic event unfolded around 6:15 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4300 block of Brentwood Avenue, near its intersection with Golfair Boulevard. Upon arrival, they encountered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared deceased.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has detained several individuals for questioning, though the exact details of the incident remain unclear at this time.
