CHICAGO (WLS) — Three people who were killed in two separate shootings in the East Garfield Park neighborhood Thursday night have now been identified.

A 27-year-old woman is among those killed in the West Side shootings.

The first shooting took place at about 10:09 p.m.in the 300-block of South Maplewood Avenue.

Police said two men were standing outside when a male suspect approached on foot, took out a gun and shot at them. Both victims were transported to hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.

The men have been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as 38-year-old Deandre Russell and 28-year-old Nurrie Foy.

The second shooting took place at about 10:47 p.m. in the 3900-block of West Gladys Avenue.

Police said a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were outside when a male suspect took out a gun and fired in their direction.

The woman was shot multiple times and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

She was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as 27-year-old Tia Bell. A fundraiser online posted by her family says Bell leaves behind nine children.

The man was shot multiple times and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, police said. Police later confirmed a there was a third victim, another 26-year-old man, who took himself to a hospital for a graze wound in connection to the shooting.

Just this week, Mayor Brandon Johnson and Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling met with people on the West Side to talk about recent gun violence.

No one is in custody in connection with either shooting and Area Four detectives are investigating.
