In a move that has generated significant public interest, President Trump revealed on Wednesday that he has authorized the release of government-held documents concerning the infamous pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. This new legislation, which he eagerly signed, mandates transparency by compelling the federal government to disclose these long-sought-after files.

Trump shared the news of this legislative milestone on Truth Social, expressing enthusiasm with the announcement, “I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” His statement underscored the broad support the bill received from both sides of the political aisle.

Highlighting the bipartisan cooperation that led to this development, Trump noted his role in encouraging key legislative leaders to act. “As everyone knows, I asked Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, to pass this Bill in the House and Senate, respectively,” he explained. He credited this appeal for the almost unanimous favor the bill garnered.

Under the terms of the new law, the Department of Justice is tasked with providing Congress with all “unclassified records, documents, communications and investigative materials,” as well as classified information to the fullest extent possible, within a 30-day timeframe.

The legislation enjoyed remarkable bipartisan support, passing the House of Representatives with a 427-1 vote on Tuesday and advancing through the Senate with unanimous consent. This swift congressional approval paved the way for President Trump’s signature, marking a pivotal step towards greater transparency regarding Epstein’s controversial history.
