Trump sidelines 'crooked' Minnesota officials in ICE shooting probe

President Donald Trump has declared that he will prevent the FBI from collaborating with Minnesota state officials, citing his belief that they are ‘crooked.’

During a Friday afternoon meeting with oil industry leaders in the East Room, Trump was questioned by reporters about whether he would cooperate with state authorities in the investigation of Renee Good, who was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer on Wednesday.

“Typically, I would,” the president remarked, “but they’re crooked officials.”

Trump proceeded to criticize the state’s leadership, stating, “Minneapolis and Minnesota are such beautiful places, but they are being ruined. The governor is incompetent, a fool, and frankly, a stupid person,” in reference to Governor Tim Walz.

In response to the incident, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has insisted that federal authorities hand over details about Good’s shooting to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Frey has lambasted ICE’s presence in Minneapolis and said it is ‘bullsh**’ to claim the agent who shot Good was acting in self-defense, despite multiple videos showing the 37-year-old drive her car into the federal officer.

He has defiantly proclaimed: ‘To ICE, get the f**k out of Minneapolis. We don’t want you here.’

The president also noted allegations of fraud that have been uncovered in Minneapolis and specifically honed in on the city’s large Somali population.

‘It looks like the number could be $19 billion stolen from a lot of people, but largely people from Somalia. They buy their vote. They vote in a group.’

They sell more Mercedes-Benzes in that area than almost – can you imagine you come over with no money, and then shortly thereafter, you’re driving a Mercedes-Benz? The whole thing is ridiculous. So they’re very corrupt people. It’s a very corrupt state.’

Trump also doubled down on Vice President JD Vance’s claim that Good was a part of a ‘broad left-wing network’ by noting that there appears to have been paid protestors on the ground in Minneapolis to hamstring ICE operations.

‘There was a woman “screaming, shame, shame, shame, shame.” She was an agitator, probably a paid agitator … so professional, she wouldn’t stop screaming.’

‘This is a professional troublemaker,’ he continued. ‘This isn’t a normal situation.’

The president did not provide any actual evidence of the alleged ‘left-wing’ groups White House officials believe are funding activists, however.

Still, new footage of the tragic shooting does raise questions about why Good and her wife were blocking ICE operations before she rammed an agent and was subsequently shot.

New video released Friday shows Renee Good’s wife, Rebecca Good, 40, urging the agent to ‘show his face’ as she asks him, ‘You want to come at us?’

‘You want to come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch big boy,’ Rebecca said, with her own cellphone in hand. ‘Go ahead.’

As the tension mounted on the Minneapolis street, Good was told to get out of the car, but ignored the order.

She began revving the engine and drove off during what the Trump administration says was part of a protest against the planned detention of Somali migrants in the area.

The new footage came from the ICE agent who shot Good, Jonathon Ross, who was previously hit by a car while conducting operations.

Ross’s cellphone footage was unveiled just hours after surveillance footage was released, showing how Good apparently blocked the road with her SUV for four minutes before she was shot dead.
