Trump: Hamas won't be hard to 'take care of' if Gaza ceasefire fails

On Saturday, President Trump suggested that the responsibility would fall on Hamas if the ceasefire with Israel were to collapse, although he described the existing agreement as an “enduring peace.”

Speaking to the press after a meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani during a refueling stop in Doha while on his way to Malaysia, Trump expressed confidence in the ceasefire. “I think it will hold,” he remarked aboard Air Force One.

Trump went on to caution that if the ceasefire were to break down, Hamas would be to blame. “Hamas will be not hard to take care of very quickly,” he asserted. “I hope it holds for Hamas too because they gave us their word on something, so I think it’s going to hold. If it doesn’t, then they’ll have a very big problem.”
