President Trump has instructed his administration to examine which federal funds might be withheld from Portland, Oregon, due to persistent anti-ICE demonstrations, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt during an infrequent Friday briefing.

“I just discussed this matter with the president, and he has tasked his team at the White House with starting the process of evaluating aid that might be reduced in Portland,” she stated.

“We will not fund states that allow anarchy.”

Federal immigration authorities reported that their facility in Portland, Oregon, has been targeted nightly, receiving insufficient assistance from the city’s political leadership.

Portland’s ICE Office Director Cammila Wamsley said the nightly protests have escalated beyond chants and signs as bottle rockets have also struck the ICE building, shattering windows.
