Trump threatens to send Tesla vandals to Salvadoran mega-prison

President Donald Trump has issued a chilling new warning to those accused of vandalizing and firebombing Tesla cars and charging stations.

He threatened to send them to the same ‘hellish’ mega-prison in El Salvador that his officials have deported alleged Venezuelan gang members to.

Trump commented shortly after Attorney General Pam Bondi promised that individuals responsible for using Molotov cocktails to ignite Teslas would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The President said: ‘I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla.

‘Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!’

On Truth Social, he also stated: ‘Anyone caught engaging in the sabotage of Teslas could face a lengthy prison sentence of up to twenty years, including those who provided funding. We are actively searching for you!’

While speaking in the Oval Office, he labeled such perpetrators as ‘terrorists,’ all the while justifying the decision to deport individuals described as ‘killers, murderers, and individuals of heinous nature’ to prisons in El Salvador.

‘Well, I view these people as terrorists, just like others,’ he said of people vandalizing Teslas. ‘When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars – not one or two, like seven, eight, ten burning, exploding all over the place. These are terrorists. You didn’t have that on January 6, I can tell you you didn’t have anything like that on January 6,’ he said, pivoting to the mob who attacked the Capitol when Congress met to count the Electoral Votes.

Trump’s comments came less than a week after the administration deported more than 200 alleged gang members to El Salvador, whose president promptly posted video of them being lined up to have their heads shaved and put into incarceration.

Trump was almost certainly referencing El Salvador’s ‘terrorism confinement center’ known by the acronym in Spanish as Cecot, which has been thrust into the news this week.

One Australian television journalist, Liam Bartlett, called it a ‘hellhole.’

‘There’s no sheets [and] no mattresses. [Prisoners] sleep on cold steel frames and they eat the same meal every single day,’ he said.

‘Utensils are banned so they use their hands [to eat]. There’s just two open toilets in each of these massive cells and the lights stay on 24/7,’ he said. ‘Imagine how long you would last in these conditions.’

Trump’s post brought together several issues swirling around his administration for the past week.

He has erupted at a federal judge who issued an order to halt the deportation of men the administration says were members of the violent Tren de Aragua Venezuelan gang.

‘WE WANT VIOLENT CRIMINALS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!’ Trump posted in all-caps Friday.

The Judge, James Boasberg, is demanding answers from the administration about details of the flights that the administration says were airborne when his written order came down. Trump and ally billionaire Elon Musk have called to impeach the judge, setting off action among House Republican loyalists.

His administration has refused to release the identities of the people who got deported, although CBS published a leaked list. Attorneys for some of the deported men have been proclaiming their innocence.

Trump has also been working to boost Musk even as stock prices for the Tesla firm he owns have plunged.

Last week he bought a Tesla and parked it at the White House after touting the vehicle. His Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told the public Thursday to ‘buy Tesla’ in an unual break from the government’s usual arms’ length distance from financial advice.

Trump’s administration is vowing to crack down on attacks on Tesla dealerships and vehicles, amid a spate of incidents after Musk became the face of DOGE job cuts the federal workforce.

Bondi announced that three people have been charged with attacks on Tesla facilities.

‘Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars,’ she said.

One man is accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Oregon.  Another man was arrested in Colorado attempting to light Molotov cocktails near a dealership. Another man was arrested vandalizing a South Carolina dealership after spray painting ‘f*** Trump’ and ‘Long Live Ukraine.’
