() President Donald Trump Sunday said he is “very angry” and “pissed off” at Russian President Vladimir Putin, threatening major new sanctions against Russia if he believes it is Putin’s fault for failing to reach a peace deal.

Putin’s latest comments on ending the Ukraine war “were not going in the right location,” Trump said.

“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault which it might not be but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview.

Trump also vowed to implement a 25% tariff on all oil.

“That would be that if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States,” he said to the outlet. “There will be a 25% tariff on all oil, a 25- to 50-point tariff on all oil, a 25- to 50-tariff on all oil.”

Last week, the two warring countries agreed on a partial ceasefire, allowing access to the Black Sea and ending energy facility attacks.

Putin on Friday called for a transitional government in Ukraine, while Trump said he will have another call this week with Putin.
