Tyla’s latest outfit can simply disappear in the shower.
The 24-year-old “Water” vocalist made a striking entrance in Paris late Monday evening, seeming to sport a top with a snakeskin pattern. However, it was actually a cleverly designed temporary tattoo by Simon Carle, applied directly onto her skin.
As she was spotted leaving her hotel for a night out at Crazy Horse during Paris Fashion Week, cameras captured her unique look.
Simon Carle, who documented the creation process on Instagram, crafted the faux snakeskin tattoo in sections, carefully placing them on Tyla’s torso and arms to mimic a snug jacket, all while leaving her back exposed.
The South African pop sensation, whose second album, “A-Pop,” is expected to drop this summer, showcased the final effect on Instagram, captioning it, “Skin tight X @simoncarle__ Thanks for my Tat 💋.”
She paired the body art with Rock Revival super low-rise moto jeans ($199), worn unbuttoned, along with archival DSquared Fall 2016 Samurai heels and a Valentino suede and python shoulder bag ($3,600).
A delicate gold Chanel chain necklace and electric blue nails finished the look.
The faux snakeskin isn’t the only trick up Carle’s sleeve — or lack thereof. He’s created similar temporary tattoo “shirts” with faux Gucci and Burberry prints, lace patterns, playing cards and even a cone bra corset.
Carle has quickly become a go-to for pop’s most adventurous dressers. Charli XCX wore his transparent lace-trimmed poncho over a minidress to the Sundance Film Festival in January, and he outfitted Rosalía’s dancers in deconstructed lingerie for her Brit Awards performance last month.
Beyond his own label, Carle works for Maison Margiela, where he was part of the couture team under John Galliano in 2024 before a stint at Yeezy in Tokyo.
He returned to Paris in 2025 to continue at the French house under Glenn Martens.
