U.S. State Department Offers $20 Million Reward for Information on Iran’s Nuclear Program

The Trump administration is offering up to $20 million for information about Iran’s nuclear program.

The reward is being offered through the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program.

According to an announcement posted on X, the United States is seeking information about Iranian “nuclear scientists and staff,” “nuclear program-related technologies and capabilities,” as well as “associated organizations and personnel.”

“If you have information on Iran’s nuclear program, assets, or associated individuals, send it to us,” Rewards for Justice said in its appeal to the public.

Individuals who want to share intelligence with the US government can submit tips through an encrypted Tor browser portal or via the secure Signal and Telegram messaging apps.

In an apparent bid to encourage Iranians to come forward, Rewards for Justice is also offering “possible relocation” as an additional incentive.

The reward notice cites a 2025 report from the International Atomic Energy Agency, which said Iran was enriching uranium to 60% purity—near the level required to produce a nuclear weapon.

“The regime’s lack of compliance with the IAEA on safeguards obligations has led to the agency’s loss of ‘continuity of knowledge’ regarding Iran’s production and inventory of key components like centrifuges,” Rewards for Justice said.

US Central Command, the military command responsible for the Iran war, also shared the reward across its social media platforms.

In March, the Trump administration used the Rewards for Justice program to offer $10 million for information leading to 10 key leaders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which the US government designates as a terrorist organization.

The latest offer comes as President Trump considers his next step in confronting Iran.

“I would rather not destroy the rest of the country if possible, but maybe I’ll have to. You’ll know soon enough,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday.

A US official told The Post that Qatari officials have been mediating renewed discussions with Tehran over its nuclear program.

The New York Times first reported that at least three meetings focused on “concrete proposals” had taken place during the past week, including talks in Tehran and Doha.

Trump has repeatedly said Iran was nearing the development of a nuclear weapon, which he believes the regime would have used against countries in the Middle East, including Israel.

The president maintains that the eight-month war has been successful because US airstrikes have devastated Iran’s navy, missile and drone facilities, and nuclear sites.
