Lip reader reveals what Taylor Swift said after getting booed

A lip reader has revealed what Taylor Swift said after getting booed at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The singer, 35, was left stunned after being met with emphatic booing at the Caesars Superdome when she appeared on the jumbotron for the first time.

The action happened before her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Taylor was caught looking sideways after receiving boos before talking to a friend. Lip reader NJ Hickling reportedly shared with DailyMail.com that the singer said ‘aww what, what’s going on.’

Taylor and Travis’, 35, seemingly happy time together may have faced a setback, as the NFL star experienced a devastating loss at the Super Bowl shortly after the singer felt ignored at the Grammys.

All attention was on the pair on Sunday when Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, ultimately suffering a disappointing 22-40 defeat.

With the stadium seemingly boasting more Philadelphia Eagles fans than members of Chiefs Kingdom, Swift did not get a nice reception when cameras zoomed in on her before the carnage unfolded.

The star appeared to notice the booing, giving a mocking side-eye response as the noise mercilessly rang out around the packed stadium.

Swift didn’t look impressed, and President Donald Trump didn’t waste the opportunity to taunt his nemesis on Truth Social after making history by becoming the first sitting President to go to a Super Bowl.

‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’ Trump wrote.

Trump also shared footage of Swift getting booed from all corners of the stadium, comparing it to how he was cheered when he appeared on the jumbotron before the national anthem.

But her pal Serena Williams leapt to her defense, posting on X: ‘I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!’

Despite Taylor’s support with her entourage in tow, the loss dashed fans’ hopes for a fairytale proposal moment from Travis, who had previously shared public displays of affection with Taylor during last year’s Super Bowl celebrations.

Taylor showed ‘grim support’ for Travis according to a body language expert.

The Bad Blood singer appeared at the game wearing an all-white ensemble to cheer on Kelce. Despite a rocky start, which saw the Eagles lead the scoreboard almost immediately, and boos from the crowd, Swift proudly supported Kelce throughout the entire night.

Things began to take a turn early on, however, with the Chiefs going into halftime with zero points.

‘Taylor Swift began in signature sweetheart mode, dressed in sparkly shorts and a white vest, she looked as excited and busy as usual in the VIP section, chatting and whispering with one hand over her mouth like a teenage fan,’ body language expert Judi James told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘The mood music changed dramatically though. With her boyfriend’s team losing badly by halftime and Travis standing dejected below her, wincing as he wiped his hand over his forehead in a gesture of bewilderment, Taylor looked more like haunting presence,’ James continued.

‘Standing in a solitary pose on the balcony now, she gazed out at her lover unsmiling with her hands splayed and gripping the rail in a gesture of grim support.’

The score wasn’t the only disappointment for Swift during the game. As she sat in her box with famous friends Ice Spice and the Haim sisters, Swift also faced intense jeers from Eagles’ fans.

But, according to James, Swift kept her composure and was a ‘good sport’ through it all.

‘She held her pose bravely but her eyes rolled to one side and then the other in a gesture of disbelief,’ James remarked.

Kelce fought back tears on his return to the Kansas City Chiefs locker room before later reuniting with Taylor following the most humiliating night of his career.

The devastated Chiefs tight end had misery etched across his face as Kansas City’s ‘three-peat’ dreams ended in disarray.

‘Hats off to the Eagles, man. We couldn’t get it going offensively,’ Kelce said to reporters in the locker room. ‘We just couldn’t find that spark, couldn’t find that momentum.’

Kelce said he believed at halftime that the Chiefs could turn the game around.

‘100% believed,’ he said. ‘Never lose doubt. I think there was a lot of things going wrong.’

‘Everything was not really going our way today. You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.’

There was no immediate sign of the singer after the game ended.

Kelce must now decide if he wants to keep on playing from here. If this is the last time Kelce is suited up for the Chiefs, it is hard to imagine a worse way for him to walk away from the game.

The ending on Sunday could not have been further from last year’s jubilant scenes with Swift, as America’s most popular couple kissed on the field after a night of glory in Las Vegas.

Fans had already begun to raise eyebrows after the couple was spotted enjoying a dinner date in New Orleans on Friday, just days before the game.

Travis had previously emphasized the importance of staying focused and laying low in the lead-up to the big match, making their public outing all the more surprising.

Before last year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Kelce said, ‘We’ve got one week, we do what we need to do then we can party in Vegas for the rest of our lives.’

When they were seen arriving at Lilette on Friday evening, some fans even dismissed the footage of Travis and Taylor, claiming someone else had been mistaken for the Chiefs tight end.

Last weekend, Swifties were left fearing that her shock snub at the Grammys could be foreshadowing a Super Bowl loss for boyfriend Travis.

Sunday night saw the pop superstar failed to win any of the six nominations she had on the night, including Album of the Year.

It was an unexpected result for the star who rarely ever leaves an awards show empty-handed.

Taylor and Travis were first linked romantically in early September 2023, following Travis’ mention of trying to give Swift a friendship bracelet at one of her concerts.

Their relationship quickly captured the public’s attention, with the couple making their first official appearance together at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game on September 24, 2023.
