On Monday, a United Airlines flight heading to New Jersey from Los Angeles had to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff due to an engine fire, as reported by aviation officials.

Flight 2127, operated by United Airlines, departed Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at approximately 10:15 a.m. However, about an hour into the journey, the aircraft had to return due to a problem with its left engine, according to information provided by the Federal Aviation Administration to Fox News Digital.

“United flight 2127 safely returned to Los Angeles to address an issue with one of the engines,” the airline confirmed to Fox News Digital. Passengers disembarked using slides and airstairs before being transported back to the terminal by bus.
