Ritual for healing during this week's Grand Water Trine

As we wade through the intense energies of Scorpio season, we’re on the brink of a transformative celestial event.

November 10th marks the arrival of a rare Grand Water Trine involving Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, the Sun shining in Scorpio, and the Moon aligned with Jupiter in Cancer.

Astrologically speaking, a trine represents a harmonious 120-degree angle, facilitating a seamless flow of energy between planets.

“This celestial alignment in the water signs crafts a cosmic triangle of emotion, intuition, and profound healing, serving as a potent remedy for our shared spirit,” shared Letao Wang, a certified counselor and award-winning astrologer based in Hong Kong, with The Post.

Grand Water Trine meaning

Wang highlights that such a Grand Trine, like the one unfolding this week, occurs when three or more celestial bodies form a perfect equilateral triangle, amplifying this harmonious energy to extraordinary levels.

In the element of water, that potential plays out in the realms of emotion and the unconscious.

“Each point of this trine carries a unique signature: Saturn in Pisces provides structure to our compassion, asking us to build healthy boundaries. The Sun in Scorpio illuminates the depths of our psyche, compelling us to acknowledge and transform our hidden wounds into a source of power,” said Wang.

“Finally, the Moon—the planet of emotions—snuggles up with expansive Jupiter in the nurturing sign of Cancer, offering a tidal wave of comfort, security and emotional optimism.”

Power of the Grand Water Trine

He shared that this trine sets the stage not for fierce action but deep introspection.

“The universe is offering us a sacred container to process, feel and ultimately, heal. It’s a moment to acknowledge the scars and wounds we carry (Scorpio Sun), to apply compassionate discipline to our healing journey (Saturn in Pisces), and to reward ourselves with profound self-care and emotional nourishment (Moon/Jupiter in Cancer).”

Wang offers three key ways to utilize this energy to support and sustain your emotional health.

Create a sacred space for feeling:

Scorpio is a sign synonymous with depth and shadow work, and Wang recommends we honor that energy by journaling, meditating, or initiating/continuing a therapy practice.

“Our most potent medicine is nurturance. “

“Allow buried feelings to surface without judgment. The Saturn in Pisces influence makes this a disciplined, yet compassionate, excavation.”

Practice radical self-care:

Wang shared that with the Moon and Jupiter in Cancer, our most potent medicine is nurturance.

“Cook a comforting meal, spend time near water, or connect with loved ones who feel like home. Let yourself receive comfort and acknowledge your emotional needs as valid.

Set boundaries with compassion:

“Saturn in Pisces teaches that we cannot heal the world if we are drowning ourselves, said Wang.

“Use this energy to kindly define your emotional limits, conserving your psychic energy for your own healing and for those you can truly help.”

According to Wang, this Grand Water Trine invites us to take a dip in our own depths and return to the surface with a newfound capacity for healing and emotional resonance.

Ritual for the Grand Water Trine

“I suggest a ritual that is designed to align your personal energy with the cosmic flow, using the element of water as your guide. Perform it on the evening of November 10th to fully embody the nurturing and transformative vibrations. The most important intention is to release emotional burdens and invite deep, compassionate healing,” said Wang.

You will need:

  • A quiet, private space (a bathroom is ideal if using a bath)
  • A bowl of water (preferably a large shell, a beautiful bowl, or access to a natural body of water)
  • Sea salt
  • A blue, white, or silver candle
  • Crystals (optional: moonstone, aquamarine, or amethyst)

The Ritual:

Create Your Sacred Space (Saturn in Pisces):

“Begin by grounding yourself. Dim the lights and light your candle, acknowledging the fixed depth of the Scorpio Sun. Place your bowl of water and crystals in front of you. As you pour a generous amount of sea salt into your bath or your bowl, feel Saturn’s energy providing a sacred and structured container for your work. This is your protected, psychic sanctuary.”

The Bath of Release (Sun in Scorpio & Saturn in Pisces):

“Enter your bath or sit comfortably before your bowl of water. As you touch the water, close your eyes. Feel the Scorpio Sun’s energy guiding you inward. Bring to mind an emotional wound, a hidden fear, or a story of pain you are ready to release. Don’t shy away from its depth; Scorpio invites you to face it fully.”

The Anointing of Nurturance (Moon & Jupiter in Cancer):

“Now, the ritual shifts. The old has been released; it is time to receive. Cup your hands and lift the water, gently pouring it over your heart or the crown chakra of your head. This is the nurturing, expansive energy of the Moon and Jupiter in Cancer.”

As the water flows over you, Wang asks you to imagine that you are being held, soothed and nourished by the most loving presence imaginable.

“Place your hands on your heart and whisper words of deep kindness to yourself: ‘I am safe. I am held. I am worthy of profound love and nurturing.’ Soak in this feeling for as long as you wish.”
