Unlocking Jaxson Dart’s Potential: How Brian Callahan’s Coaching Style Could Transform the Quarterback’s Game

Ran Carthon has spent significant time collaborating with Brian Callahan, meticulously reviewing five years of Callahan’s past quarterback evaluations and pre-draft assessments.

As the Titans’ general manager when Callahan took on the role of head coach, Carthon is particularly well-placed to address this question: Does dual-threat quarterback Jaxson Dart align with the preferences of Callahan, now the Giants’ quarterbacks coach?

“Jaxson Dart definitely fits what Callahan looks for,” Carthon, now an NFL analyst with CBS Sports, shared with The Post. “Cally will give him a platform to express himself, respecting the quarterback’s input by asking, ‘What do you like?’ While Jaxson won’t be making the final calls, feeling empowered and heard is vital for any quarterback.”

After accumulating a 4-19 record as the Titans’ head coach, Callahan was let go last October. Entering the role of quarterbacks coach again marks his return to such a position since 2018, following a five-year stretch as a non-play-calling offensive coordinator for the Bengals.
